The post-season begins!

It's officially fall now, so that means the start of the end for fall sports.

The girls golf sectionals were last week. Crawfordsville advanced as a team, led by Stormy Staton, who fired a 74 to pace the Athenians to a second-place finish.

The whole team, along with Miranda Pettit of North and Taylor Davis of Southmont also will compete this Saturday at the Lafayette Munie. Look for previews of golf in Thursday's Journal Review.

The soccer draws come out on Monday at 8 a.m. for sectionals that begin Oct. 14.

Football draws are set for Tuesday, Oct. 7, always a big day for teams around the area to know who to prepare for.

Other sports sectionals just around the corner:
Team tennis: Oct. 2
Cross County: Oct. 14
Volleyball: Oct. 21

Welcome...again

I know since I written about the blog in the paper, a few more people may have checked this place out.

So, welcome!

I will start to be more active with this as more people start to become involved in it. Hopefully, my plan is to have a daily blog here.

What do you want to see covered here? Let's talk!

I've been lazy...

Not really, busy more like it.

With Purdue kicking off its season, I have been in "mad mode" getting prepared for that. Now that I have a better grasp of how my week should go, we will get into a better mode for getting stuff on here and on the JR Sports myspace site. Check that out as well!
